San Vito, marriages (1817-1844) - Letter E and F

Two letters because E was just one entry

A picture of the only entry found for surnames starting with the letter E in the marriage book for the years 1817 to 1844 in San Vito al Tagliamento

LINK to the PDF in Google Drive HERE

Feel free to email me if you spot errors/typos (email at the bottom of this post)I wouldn't open it with google docs, because it is going to look all messed up.

Please let me know if it doesn't work.

Valvasone, civil registrations, marriages (1850-1856)

 Master Post HERE

I am trying something different this time: I am sharing a google drive link to a PDF
Feel free to email me if you spot errors/typos (email at the bottom of this post)

Notes:

  • DOM - Date of marriage
  • Groom + Bride (surname & name of groom - first line -  and bride - second line)
  • DOB - Date of birth (of groom and bride depending on the line)
  • POB - Place of birth (of groom/bride)
  • Father (of groom/bride, surname first)*
  • Mother (of groom/bride, surname first)*
  • Notes for Groom / Bride - usually where I add the name of previous deceased spouse(s) if reported, and other things I think are absolutely important.
* sometimes they noted if the parents were deceased (and there will be a q before the name in this list if they did), but do not rely too much on this, many times they simply did not indicate it. If there is the "q" then it's likely the person is dead, but if there isn't it's not guaranteed they're alive.

The "x"s mark where there was missing info.
The "?"s mark where I couldn't read what was written.

If you want to have a picture of the original registration to check the info I have not included drop me an email with the detail of the marriage you need and I'll send it to you. (deison.gen[at]gmail.com)

San Vito, marriages (1817-1844) - Letter D

Master Post HERE

The second marriage doesn't belong in this list because the groom's surname starts with "G"

Some things to consider:

- sometimes they marked the parent/s as deceased, sometimes they didn't, it wasn't consistent.
- it's not easy to tell if the locations mentioned are for the spouses or their parents. When it was clear it was for the groom/bride I've put it under "Place" when it wasn't I've put it after the father or mother's name (ex: father: Pietro da Portogruaro -> Pietro from Portogruaro). Sometimes what's reported after the mother's name was meant for the bride/groom, but, as I said, since it's unclear, it's in the mother's column.
- It was tradition to get married in the parish of the bride, 99% of the time, so it's likely that most of the brides are from San Vito.
- the handwriting was sometimes very hard to read.... I did my best.

DOM - Date of Marriage
Name - of Groom and Bride
DOB - Date of birth
Place - of birth
Father - Father's name
Mother - Mother's surname and name

da/di = from
q = of the deceased
detto/detta = precedes the family "soprannome" (nickname or second surname)
x = info missing
? = I couldn't read well/wasn't sure

Some marriages were written out of order (or the priest wrote the date incorrectly).

Valvasone, civil registrations, marriages (1843-1849)

Apologies for the long wait, I've taken some time off and then I've been having some computer troubles. Plus Blogger changed its interface and it's proving very hard for me to insert tables/spreadsheets like I used to. This post is an experiment, I don't like the fact that the table is now an image and is not searchable. I might have to move the blog to another platform...
